National liberation front with the movement against strategic hamlets in South Vietnam

Author(s): To Tuan Dat

Abstract:

Abstract: During the war of aggression against Vietnam (1954-1975), the basic conspiracy of the American empire was to turn South Vietnam into a new colony and military base in order to attack the North and the socialist system, a “dyke” to prevent socialism and stop the revolutionary movement from flowing into Southeast Asia. To implement the aforementioned conspiracy, the US and government of Republic of Vietnam carried out many plans, strategies, and war measures to fight against the southern revolution. In particular, the strategic hamlet program was considered a decisive solution to the success or failure of the US invasion plan. The struggle against the strategic hamlets of our army and people was under the leadership of the Party, which was directly under the flag of National Liberation Front of the Southern People's Classes, conducting many forms of struggle, creating the combined strength of the whole nation, defeating single plan to gather people to form a strategic hamlet of the enemy as well as proceeding to completely defeat the “US Army Special Forces War” strategy.
