Abstract: Buddhism, one of the world’s oldest spiritual traditions, offers a profound message of peace, non - violence, mindfulness and compassion. This paper explores the historical globalization of Buddhism’s peace message from its origins in ancient India to its contemporary global influence. Through qualitative research methods including literature review, historical analysis and case studies, the study examines how Buddhism’s teachings have been disseminated worldwide and adapted across cultures. It highlights the positive impacts on individual mental health, social harmony, conflict resolution, environmental sustainability and international peace efforts. The role of prominent Buddhist leaders, secular mindfulness practices and interfaith dialogues in promoting peace are discussed. Additionally, the paper critically addresses challenges such as commercialization, political misuse and cultural appropriation. Finally, future prospects and recommendations are offered to sustain and deepen the global peace influence of Buddhism. The findings demonstrate Buddhism’s timeless relevance as a catalyst for inner and social peace in an increasingly interconnected world.
